today, we thank all the mothers, play mothers, aunties, big sister momma friends. for those who have nurtured us, guided us, given us a shoulder to cry on, and warm arms to rest in. thank you, for celebrating our achievements, for telling us we can do anything, for pushing us when no one else would.
even when we are selfish, and unkind, your love never wavers. thank you, for doing the hard work of loving us.
